Our Mission
My mission at Helping Hands Aftercare is to assist recovering stroke and diabetes patients with basic necessities while recovering at home.
I'm Leonard Hemphill this organization is important to me because im a diabetic and stroke survivor. I found out I was a diabetic back in 1984, I took it serious and did as the doctor instructed, I was happy and healthy for 26 years. I worked as a route sales distributor which required alot of physical work I was once able to do. Diabetes has completely changed my life, I was hospitalized for a month, had 2 strokes, and felt lifeless, all while the doctors told my family I wouldn't make it. By the grace of god the doctor told me I was able to come home, and finish my recovery.
Its been a struggle I am reminded with everyday, that's why this foundation means so much to me. I feel like I was left here for a reason. I have since become legally blind, and cant walk without my braces. Its been a struggle financially, emotionally, and I have felt completely lost, but I survived! Helping Hands Aftercare is for those struggling with basic home necessities while recovering at home. Its been a stressful journey that I wouldn't want anyone to go through. Please Donate so we can help those who arent able to continue living secure without being stressed about recovery and necessities.

At helping hands after care we treat you like family. We try our best so you feel right at home.
